Watch IPTV on a Windows PC or laptop

A computer is the quickest way to check that a new subscription works, because you can paste your details instead of typing them with a remote control.

Your login details are on your subscription page in your account, under Dashboard → Subscriptions. Open the subscription you want to set up and use the copy buttons next to each field rather than retyping them — a single wrong character in a password or URL looks exactly like a service fault.

With a full player (recommended)

A desktop player that supports Xtream Codes login gives you the channel list and programme guide together.

1. Download and install the player from its own website.
2. Choose to log in with the Xtream Codes API.
3. Enter your username and password from your subscription page. If the app also asks for a server address and your subscription page does not show one, contact support and they will send it to you.

With MyIPTV Player

1. Install MyIPTV Player from the Microsoft Store.
2. Open **Settings → Add new playlist**.
3. Under the remote playlist section, give the list any name and paste your M3U playlist URL.
4. Go back to **Settings**, select the playlist you just added, then open the channels section.

With VLC

VLC will play the stream and nothing else, which makes it a good test and a poor daily player.

1. If VLC is not on the computer yet, install it from the VideoLAN project's own website.
2. Open VLC and choose **Media → Open Network Stream**.
3. Paste your M3U playlist URL and press Play.
4. Open **View → Playlist** to see the channel list.

VLC has no programme guide, no catch-up and no favourites — it reads the playlist as a list of streams. If VLC plays a channel and a dedicated player does not, the problem is that player's settings and not your subscription, which is exactly what makes VLC useful for troubleshooting.
