Watch IPTV on Kodi with PVR IPTV Simple Client

Kodi handles live TV through a PVR add-on rather than natively. The add-on ships with Kodi, so nothing needs to be installed from outside — it only needs enabling and pointing at your playlist.

Your login details are on your subscription page in your account, under Dashboard → Subscriptions. Open the subscription you want to set up and use the copy buttons next to each field rather than retyping them — a single wrong character in a password or URL looks exactly like a service fault.

Install Kodi

If Kodi is not on the device yet, download it from the Kodi project's own website, which has a version for each platform this guide covers.

Set up the PVR client

1. Open Kodi and go to **Add-ons → My add-ons → PVR clients**.
2. Select **PVR IPTV Simple Client** and choose **Configure**.
3. Under **General**, set the location to **Remote path** and paste your M3U playlist URL.
4. If you were given an EPG URL, open the **EPG settings** tab and paste it there.
5. Enable the add-on and restart Kodi.

Live TV appears on the home screen once Kodi has loaded the list. The first load is slow and Kodi shows no progress while it works — give it a minute before deciding it has failed.

Why the guide might be empty

The channel list and the programme guide come from two different URLs. If channels play but the guide is blank, the EPG URL is missing or wrong; the playlist itself is fine.

A note on Kodi builds

Do not install an all-in-one "build" to watch a subscription you already pay for. Builds bundle add-ons that pull streams from unknown sources, they break on every Kodi update, and they make it impossible to tell whether a fault is yours, ours or theirs. The stock PVR client above is all that is needed.
